South Route Excursion

Our South Route excursion encapsulates the beauty and softness of this part of the county, and shows the vast difference between the South and North coasts of Cornwall.

We start our excursion from Mullion and travel to Helford via Manaccan and St Anthony, two small villages which show the unchanged beauty of Cornwall’s environment over hundreds of years.

On reaching our destination we explore the Helford River by boat, taking you into many inlets including ‘Frenchmans Creek’ immortalised by Daphne du Maurier in her famous novel.

Our excursion then takes us along many small, almost inaccessible country roads skirting the Helford River to Trebah Gardens, a magnificent old, wild and magical garden, the end product of over 100 years of inspired and dedicated creation.

You will be amazed at  the exotic trees and plants originating from the Mediterranean, Australia and South America, which can only exist here, in the open, due to the temperate climate of  South West Cornwall.
