Mullion Golf Club

'The most southerly course in England'

General Information  l  Feature Holes  l  Facilities  l  Contact Information

Founded in 1895 and situated between two beautiful coves on the cliffs haunted by the souls of mariners and wreckers who lured them to their doom, Mullion Golf club offers a present-day warm welcome and a great day's golf, although doom in the form of a double-bogey is always lurking!

As the most southerly course in England the winters offer good golfing weather. From the same cliffs Marconi sent the first transatlantic radio signal and it is no coincidence that the nearby main BT satelite receiving station has followed Marconi's lead.

Enjoy the clearest and cleanest of air, views across Mounts Bay to Lands End and holes presenting a keen challenge against the majestic Atlantic backdrop.

The 4th - stand on the cliff-top tee, breathe the salty  air and feel better immediately, before tackling  the longest hole.
The 6th - unchanged original layout, steeply downhill,  sloping from hill to stream OOB all to visible. Not for faint-hearted in a stiff sou-westerly.
The 7th - excellent par 4 to Gunwalloe Cove in which  lie sunken treasure ships. Use the ancient church  bell-tower as your sighting-line.
The 8th - don't slice your shot to this green unless you  want a walk on the beach, or a paddle!
The 10th - superbly scenic hole descending to the  beach: your second threatened by the "ravine" that divides the beach from the elevated green.
The 16th - only 127 yards, but where's the wind?  One hole where down-wind is no advantage.
The 17th - this tee described as "the warmest spot in  England" looks down to historic Poldhu Cove.  But pay attention - OOB all the way up the right.
