ENGLISH LANGUAGE SCHOOL
STANDARD COURSE
Cornish Spirit English Language Holidays, offers English lessons for adult (18+) foreign students in the informal atmosphere of an old country school in the village of Mullion.
The
standard English Language Courses are
conducted in our English Language School in the middle of Mullion. The rooms are
in a building which was built at the turn of the century as a village school. It
was used as a school for the local children until the 1970’s when a more
modern school was built. The rooms provide enough space for classes of up to 15
– 20 students to be taught in comfort.
The lessons are for individuals and groups of up to 16 people and are planned, with your help, to cater for your particular interests. The lessons will generally include relevant aspects of English Grammar, Vocabulary and Pronunciation, and give practice in Speaking, Listening, Writing and Reading.
The school lessons are organised so that students can spend their mornings in class, and use the rest of the day to relax and explore the countryside of Cornwall, putting what they have learnt into practise among the local inhabitants.
The cost of a standard one-week holiday includes:
o 15 hours of English tuition
o Course materials
o One afternoon’s excursion
o An information pack giving advice on local events, walks and activities
Additional English lessons can be booked in advance and discounts are negotiable for groups of 3 or 4 people who can be taught at the same level.
SPECIAL COURSE
If you require One-to-One Intensive English Courses, Cornish Spirit will arrange and organise a course just for you!
The
special English Language Courses are
held a few kilometres away from Mullion at the Lizard in a beautiful old Manor
house situated within 5 minutes walk of the sea.
With
this course, accommodation including breakfast and evening meal can be provided
if required, for up to three people within the Manor house at an extra charge
per person.
The intensive courses, which are offered to single students or small groups at the same level of English, are designed to meet specific individual needs for business, professional or academic purposes.
The cost of this course includes:
o Diagnostic test on first day of your course
o Course designed individually for you
o Well equipped classroom for lessons and private study
o Course books
o Modern teaching materials, cassettes, video and library
Our
teachers are all local inhabitants and are fully qualified in teaching English as a Foreign Language and have taught many people of many
different nationalities, not just in the UK but in other parts of the world
where their previous lives have taken them.
As well as providing you with English tuition, our teachers are able to advise you about the amenities and aspects of Cornwall you require and can direct you in any specific direction in which you are interested. Most of the teachers can speak either French, German or Spanish which can provide help for you in your own language if a necessity occurs.
