Introductory Diving Courses
Our introductory diving
courses cater for all ages and provide those taking part with an appetite for
trying their new skills in the natural environment of the sea.
The courses are conducted
in a swimming pool which is safe and secure and last approx. 2 hours. All
equipment is included in the price of the course.
PADI Certificated Diving Courses
The PADI Certificated
Diving Course will enable you to gain an internationally recognised Diving
qualification. These courses run over a period of 4 days
Sea Dives
The Sea Dives can be booked in various ways, either by the day or per dive. They can be conducted either from the shore or from a boat.
SHORE DIVING AND BOAT
LAUNCHING - Although some parts of the Cornish coast have difficult access,
there are a number of safe shore dives and boat launches providing excellent
diving.
Reef and Drift Diving
Strong tidal
currents running along the coast provide a rich source of food for marine and
plant life. In places, the variety and density of marine life has to be
seen to be believed. Why not harness the power of these tidal streams and
take a drift dive around the Lizard coast on the flood tide - an experience to
remember!
Basking
Sharks
The early summer of 1999
saw the UK go Basking Shark crazy as large numbers of these incredible animals
swam in the shallow waters off Kennack Sands - why not get a ringside seat
for this summer's possible encounter...
Wreck Dives
Cornwall's seafaring legacy is
built upon tales of smuggling and tragedy; and every fragment of this ill-fated
history lies upon the seabed waiting for you to explore. We dive on various wrecks around the coast
locally, which our instructors know intimately and are therefore able to provide
you with all the information required.
Nowhere has a greater density of wrecks than around The Lizard Point itself, where you could dive a different wreck every day of your holiday (weather permitting). There are wrecks to suit all grades of diver, at virtually all stages of the tide.
Our particular interest is in the older vessels which were mainly wrecked in shallow water close to the shore. This interest has led 'Lizard Diver' to become licensees to the Royal Anne Galley and the Rill Cove wreck sites, learn more about their ill fated history and see some of the beautiful, historic artefacts that were recovered from them - some pieces are even for sale!!
WRECK DIVING SAFETY - as with all other dive specialities, wreck diving requires specific skills and foreknowledge to make it a safe pursuit. Lizard Diver's 25 years of diving such wrecks means that you can dive with safety at your side.

Equipment for Sale or Hire
All manner of diving equipment is available for sale or hire. It is advisable to make prior reservations for tank hire. Call the Tourist Office, they will be able to make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.
